Our first win in the show ring - Comet's first point!     A hometown win is always very sweet     Comet's first Best of Breed win     This was the first of many good wins for us in the rain

BVISS Ch. Tarnish's Artic Streak, CGC, WTD, WPD, WWPDX, RN ("Comet")

We have been blessed with six beautiful malamutes so far. I have shown them all, and we've done our share of winning. Comet was our first show dog. We learned so much together. Showing is just one more way to spend time with my dogs. Try it - you might like it!

Glacier winning his first major and his first points     Isn't he looking gorgeous?     Glacier finished within a year after taking his first points     Taking his first Best of Breed win

Ch. Tarnish's Mountain Majestic, CGC, TT, ThD, WPD, WWPDX, RN ("Glacier")

Hope took her first point at a year of age     Hope's first Best of Breed win     She took her first major on the same day that Glacier took his first major     Hope needed only her second major to finish her AKC championship when we had to spay her due to pyometra

Stonymtn Tessa's Gift of Hope, CGC, TT, WPD, WWPDX, RN ("Hope")

Penny took Best of Winners for her first two points at 6 months and 3 days old - her first time in the show ring     Penny took 4th place in the puppy sweeps at the 2004 National Specialty, even buck necked     She took Best Graduate in Sweeps at the 2005 Minnesota January Specialties show     And most recently, she took Winners Bitch for her first major at the Cleveland Crown Classic shows. She now only needs her second major to complete her AKC championship.

Ch. Black Ice's Penny On T' Floor, CGC, TT, WTD, WPD ("Penny")

Asik took 1st place in the Bred By Exhibor class at 9 months of age! Her show career is just starting.     Asik took Best of Winners under Breeder/Judge Cindy Benson at New Castle, PA, on 24 May 2008.     She also took Best of Winners under Breeder/Judge Nancy Russell on 25 May 2008.

Arctic Hope's 1st In My Heart, TT, WTD ("Asik")

On this weekend, Xarri took back-to-back Best of Breed wins, plus a Best Puppy, a Best Bred By Exhibitor, and a Bred By Exhibitor Group 3!     Xarri placed in the ribbons for our Regional Specialty sweeps and regular class.     And then he placed in the ribbons for our National Specialty sweeps and regular class!

Arctic Hope's Double T'Lead, CGC(2), ThD, TT, WTD, WPD ("Ixarri")

Hope at her first fun match     At Penny's first fun match, she took a Working Group 1     Xarri took Best of Breed and a Puppy Group 2 at this fun match in Burton, OH, on 4 July 2008.

Before we hit the show ring, we hit the fun matches. This is a fun and easy way to introduce your new puppy to the show ring. It doesn't count for points toward a championship, but it is excellent practice.

Comet winning Best Veteran in Sweeps at Cleveland OH     Comet repeated his win two days later for the Area Specialty     Comet taking a Veteran Group 1     Hope in her first veterans class at the 2007 National Specialty

Once the dogs reach 8 years of age, they are eligible for the Veterans class. A dog need not be a finished champion to enter this class. Comet, Glacier, and Hope have all participated in this class. It's amazing how many veterans behave more like puppies than the puppies do!
